About me Rachel de Roeper
Rachel de Roeper studied Surface Decoration Design
in England, at both Norwich School of Art & Design and De Montfort University, Leicester; where she qualified with a BA (Hons) Degree in 1993.
Her love and appreciation for landscape, geographic and natural form is shown throughout her work.
Recognised for her unique style of working with mixed media on transparent medium, Rachel creates pictorial imagery through to back-lit installations in abstract and semi-abstract form.

How achieved:
Transparent medium is painted on one side of the surface area.
Layered mixed media creates the image.
An observer views the work from the reverse side to that of the application.
Hence, providing a unique lustre and finish to that of the artwork.
Albeit she does enjoy working on a wide range of surface medium and is always keen for a new challenge.
The following pages illustrate her creative diversity, whether be for interior or exterior use; producing art pieces on transparent medium through to canvas, on both a National and International basis.
